Key findings
- SpendNode observed $87.61 million of crypto card spending across 11 mapped programs in the seven days through November 1, up 1.4% from the preceding UTC week.
- Ether.fi added $2.32 million and reached $33.74 million, the largest increase in the set. Its gain more than offset the combined declines at xPlace and KAST.
- xPlace fell 44.8% to $1.74 million. Observed events declined 5.5%, but active wallets increased 29.3% and average observed value fell from $173.35 to $101.21.
- Plasma One stayed almost flat at $6.84 million as settlement events returned from the prior week's unusual 260,494 to 51,805. The dollar total did not repeat the event-count swing.
- Wirex One increased 6.6% to $7.61 million, while MetaMask and Avici rose 7.5% and 17.7%, respectively.
The weekly close
Observed spending reached $87,605,011 between October 26 at 00:00 UTC and November 2 at 00:00 UTC. The comparison uses the same 11 programs and measurement rules as the October 25 close, so the $1.20 million increase does not reflect a coverage change.
Six programs increased and five declined. Ether.fi supplied a $2.32 million gain, followed by Wirex One at $468,813, Tria at $169,746, Avici at $83,077, MetaMask at $55,308, and Plasma One at $25,515.
xPlace recorded the largest decline at $1.41 million. KAST declined by $389,219, Gnosis Pay by $101,598, Jupiter by $15,692, and Peanut by $1,068.
Multiplying this week's observed total across 52 weeks gives about $4.56 billion. That is a scale reference, not a forecast or an estimate of the entire crypto-card market.
Observed crypto card spending increased 1.4% to $87.61 million as ether.fi's growth outweighed a sharp xPlace decline.
Ether.fi supplied more than the net increase
Ether.fi increased 7.4% to $33.74 million. Observed spend events rose 5.4% to 439,423, while average observed value per event increased from $75.39 to $76.79.
Its $2.32 million gain was almost twice the market's $1.20 million net increase because declines elsewhere absorbed part of the growth. Ether.fi finished $6.31 million ahead of KAST and remained the largest measured program.
KAST declined 1.4% to $27.43 million across seven issuer settlement batches. Six Solana batches carried $23.26 million and one Ethereum batch carried $4.18 million. These batches aggregate underlying card activity and are not seven purchases.
Together, ether.fi and KAST represented $61.17 million, or 69.8% of observed spending, slightly above their 68.6% share one week earlier.
xPlace volume fell as observed wallets increased
xPlace declined 44.8% to $1.74 million, reversing most of the preceding week's increase. Observed events fell 5.5% to 17,205, while active wallets increased from 1,566 to 2,025. Average observed value per event fell from $173.35 to $101.21.
On October 30, xPlace paused Credit Mode after Kamino halted SOL and BTC borrowing. Cash Mode remained available. The pause occurred near the end of this reporting window, and the chain data does not establish that it caused the weekly decline.
The combination of more active wallets, fewer events, and lower value per event is more informative than the headline percentage alone. It shows that the decline did not come from a simple disappearance of observed users.
Plasma One's event count returned toward its earlier range
Plasma One increased 0.4% to $6.84 million even though settlement events fell from 260,494 to 51,805 and active wallets fell from 22,954 to 12,493. Average observed value per event rose from $26.16 to $132.01.
The previous close was unusual: one week earlier, Plasma One had recorded 37,969 events, 12,641 active wallets, and $6.62 million. This week's wallet count and dollar volume sit close to that earlier reading, while event count remains higher. The comparison supports treating the October 19-25 event surge as a change in settlement pattern rather than equivalent growth in purchases.
Tria increased 3.0% to $5.80 million. Deduplicated transactions rose 1.9% to 62,096 and active observed addresses increased 3.1% to 22,883. Both its old and current recipient lanes remained active during the week and were deduplicated before aggregation.
Wirex One, MetaMask, and Avici increased
Wirex One rose 6.6% to $7.61 million. Merchant-debit events increased 4.2% to 122,268 and active wallets increased 6.2% to 13,287. Average observed value per event rose from $60.87 to $62.22. No unsupported Wirex currency codes appeared in the closed window.
MetaMask increased 7.5% to $789,251 across the observed Base, Linea, and Solana deployments. The total included $400,707 on Linea, $208,099 on Solana, and $180,445 on Base. Sixty-five EURC entries, three cbBTC entries, and one cbXRP entry on Base were excluded because the weekly valuation registry did not support them.
Avici increased 17.7% to $552,381 even as accepted Solana settlements declined 1.9% to 3,211. Average observed value increased from $143.43 to $172.03. Its five monitored EVM networks again produced no qualifying settlements.
Avici also promoted 20% SOL cashback for eligible subscriptions during the week. The announcement did not state a cap, merchant list, or end date, and this report does not attribute the measured increase to the promotion.
Gnosis Pay continued to decline before closure
Gnosis Pay declined 7.7% to $1.22 million. Observed transactions fell 7.7% to 25,307 and active wallets fell 7.4% to 3,328, while average observed value remained almost unchanged at $48.13.
The direct consumer card is scheduled to stop on December 20, 2026. Gnosis Pay remains in the measured set while the card is operational, but its weekly trend now belongs to a terminal product window rather than an ordinary long-term growth series.
Jupiter declined 0.8% to $1.86 million, with observed events and active wallets also almost unchanged. Peanut declined 3.5% to $29,158 across 404 accepted settlements and 168 active collateral accounts. Every Peanut account resolved to the current factory at runtime, and no coordinator settlement remained unmatched.
Optimism and Solana carried 70.2% of measured volume
Optimism remained the largest observed settlement chain at $33.85 million, or 38.6% of measured spending. Solana followed at $27.62 million, or 31.5%.
Optimism increased by $2.29 million, primarily through ether.fi. Solana declined by $717,822 as the xPlace decrease outweighed gains at Avici and MetaMask and a smaller KAST decline.
| Observed settlement chain | Weekly volume | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Optimism | $33.85M | 38.6% |
| Solana | $27.62M | 31.5% |
| Arc | $7.61M | 8.7% |
| Plasma | $6.84M | 7.8% |
| Ethereum | $4.18M | 4.8% |
| Base | $2.17M | 2.5% |
| Polygon | $1.95M | 2.2% |
| All other mapped chains | $3.35M | 3.8% |
These shares describe the 11 mapped programs only. They are not blockchain market-share estimates, and issuer-batch routing can move value between chains without an equivalent change in purchases.
Measurement notes
This report covers a closed seven-day UTC period. It combines purchase-level wallet debits, card-settlement events, and issuer settlement batches only where each program's public methodology labels the basis. Event counts are compared within programs and are not treated as interchangeable across different settlement designs.
RedotPay remains a separately measured top-up proxy. Its account-funding flows are excluded from every spending total and ranking in this report. The October monthly report publishes the latest closed funding total separately from measured spending.
Later offchain refunds and chargebacks may not return through the same onchain route, so several series are gross rather than net. KAST's seven transactions are issuer settlement batches, not seven card purchases. MetaMask's identified Monad rail and Avici's unidentified retired route remain outside coverage.
The preceding week and this report are frozen snapshots. Their downloadable CSV, JSON, and chart files keep stable URLs. If stronger evidence changes a published result, SpendNode will label and date the correction rather than silently rewriting the weekly close.
