Status update (May 2026): The KAST Founders Edition is no longer available to purchase. KAST's help center confirms: "This card is no longer available to purchase." Existing holders retain their physical card and account access. KAST has not publicly stated whether legacy Founders cards earn under the new USD cashback model that replaced Season 5 points and $MOVE cashback in May 2026. What Was the KAST Founders Edition?

The KAST Founders Edition was a limited-edition metal Visa prepaid card sold as a one-time $5,000 payment with no recurring annual fee. KAST issued it as a collector-tier card with Premium-level rewards (5% Season 5 points + 4% $MOVE cashback under the original program) plus VIP concierge access and event invitations that otherwise required the $10,000/year Luxe tier. The card was discontinued for new purchases in May 2026, alongside KAST's broader rewards restructure that retired Season 5 points and $MOVE cashback in favor of USD cashback.

Card issuer: Third National. Available globally in 170+ countries via Visa during the sales window. Physical metal card with exclusive Founders branding included in the one-time payment.

What Existing Holders Have Today

• The physical metal card. Original Founders branding, included in the original $5,000 payment.
• Account access. Full KAST app access, top-up, spending, and the standard fee structure (0% top-up, 0% USD card spend, 0.5-1.75% FX, $3 + 2% ATM).
• No recurring annual fee. That structure was the original purchase commitment.
• An undefined rewards rate as of May 2026. KAST has not published whether legacy Founders cards earn 1.5% USD cashback (Standard mapping), 2% USD cashback + 1% KAST Points (Premium mapping), or some other grandfathered rate. The in-app rewards page or KAST Concierge is the only authoritative source. Do not assume.

KAST supports withdrawals to bank accounts in 14 currencies: USD (ACH $2 / FedWire $15), EUR (1% FX, no fixed fee), GBP ($3 + 1% FX), AED ($3 + 1% FX), JPY ($30 + 1% FX), SAR ($30 + 1% FX), INR ($2 + 1% FX), IDR ($2 + 1% FX), PHP ($2 + 1% FX), THB ($2 + 1% FX), NGN ($2 + 1% FX), MXN ($2 + 1% FX), AUD ($4 + 1% FX). Also supports PIX (BRL, 0.88% deposit / 1% payout) and SPEI (MXN, 0.5% deposit / 1% payout).

Original Rewards (Historical)

Under the original program, Founders Edition cardholders earned 5% Season 5 points on card spend, 4% $MOVE cashback, and a 0.5x SOL staking multiplier (Premium-tier rewards plus VIP concierge access at the one-time $5,000 price point). Both Season 5 points and $MOVE cashback were retired in May 2026 as part of KAST's broader rewards restructure.

KAST's new rewards model is USD cashback (1.5% / 2% / 3% on Standard / Premium / Luxe respectively, capped per tier), with KAST Points as a smaller secondary stream on Premium and Luxe (1% and 2% respectively). KAST has not published whether legacy Founders cards have been mapped to one of the new tiers, for example whether they continue to earn at a Premium-equivalent rate (2% USD cashback + 1% KAST Points on the first $10,000/mo of spend) or at some other grandfathered rate. Existing holders should check the in-app Rewards Hub or contact KAST Concierge to confirm their current earning rate before assuming any specific number.

What Existing Holders Should Do

1. Check your current rate in-app. Open the KAST app, go to the Rewards section, and review what your account is currently earning on card spend and SOL staking. The numbers shown there are authoritative for your specific account.
2. Contact Concierge if anything is unclear. KAST Concierge is the support channel for Founders cardholders. If your in-app rate is missing, ambiguous, or inconsistent with what you expected, ask them directly.
3. Understand the new redemption mechanics if you earn USD cashback. Cashback under the May 2026 program has a 14-day timelock from authorization, must be manually redeemed via "tap Redeem" in-app, and is automatically applied to your next card purchase. It cannot be withdrawn to fiat or to an external wallet. Refunds or chargebacks can claw back the related cashback.
4. Review your card limits and fees. The transaction fee structure (0% top-up, 0% USD card spend, 0.5-1.75% FX, $3 + 2% ATM) applies to existing Founders cards as it does to other KAST tiers.

The Founders Edition is no longer a path for new users. The current KAST lineup is:

• K Card (Standard, free): 1.5% USD cashback on first $2,000/mo of spend.
• X Card (Premium, $1,000/yr): 2% USD cashback on first $10,000/mo of spend, plus 1% KAST Points uncapped, plus Visa Infinite network benefits.
• Solana Gold Card (Luxe, $10,000/yr): 3% USD cashback on first $50,000/mo of spend, plus 2% KAST Points uncapped, plus VIP Concierge and Visa Infinite benefits. The invite-only Solana Solid Gold (37g solid gold) is a Luxe sub-variant with a $30,000/mo cap.
• Pengu Card collection: Pudgy Penguins-branded versions of Standard, Premium, and Luxe with identical economics.
