Best Airdrops Crypto Cards 2026

Crypto cards that qualify holders for token airdrops and points programs. Compare eligibility criteria and verified airdrop benefits.

Data last verified: Jun 10, 2026 - Methodology

We will be honest with you: airdrops are speculation. Every pre-TGE points program on this page could launch a token worth nothing, and nobody can tell you otherwise until the token actually trades.

That said, we love the idea. Spending money you were going to spend anyway and getting a shot at a meaningful token allocation is exciting. Some of the biggest windfalls in crypto have come from airdrop programs attached to products people used daily. We would rather have the lottery ticket than not.

But here is where we differ from most airdrop coverage: we do not think airdrops should be the primary reason you pick a card. When we evaluate crypto cards for ourselves, we look at cashback rates, fees, custody model, and regional availability first.

If two cards are close on those fundamentals and one has a promising airdrop program, that tips the decision. But choosing a card with worse fees and lower cashback purely because it has a points program is, in our experience, how people end up disappointed.

If that broader filter matters more to you than token farming, start with our main crypto card ranking and use this page as the airdrop-specific layer on top.

This page covers every active and upcoming airdrop program across the crypto card space, both pre-TGE points (speculative, converts to tokens at launch) and live token rewards (immediate, tradeable tokens). We verify program status, timelines, and earning mechanics so you can make the call for yourself.

1. Xplace Basic Card

Free Visa Entry: Borrow-to-Spend on Solana + 0.5% USDC Cashback

RewardsUp to 0.5%
FX Fee1%
Annual FeeFree
Our VerdictThe Basic tier is the free entry to Xplace. For Free per year you get a non-custodial USDC credit line backed by Kamino collateral, 0.5% USDC cashback, and a 0% card transaction fee. Spending and per-transaction limits are the lowest of the four tiers.
Why It Ranks HereFree entry into Solana ecosystem XP farming with $XP token TGE confirmed Q4 2026. Airdrop allocations: 5% ecosystem partners, 2.5% NFT communities. Self-custody on Solana. No annual fee at Standard tier.
Watch OutThe guaranteed cashback (0.5%) is the lowest of any tier, so you are mainly farming for speculative XP value rather than the cashback itself. The separate xpSOL airdrop requires Silver ($99/yr) or higher plus $1,000+ in credit mode spending.
+No annual fee
+0% card transaction fee
+0.5% USDC cashback plus 1% XP

Tria Premium Card

2. Tria Premium Card

Self-Custody Premium: 6% Cashback + Zero ATM Fees

RewardsUp to 6%
FX Fee1%
Annual Fee$250
Our VerdictThe Tria Premium Card carries the highest base cashback rate of any self-custodial card we cover in 2026, though the 6% now applies to the first $2,000 of monthly spend (1% above that). Combined with zero global ATM fees, the $250 fee is easiest to justify for moderate spenders who travel and want DeFi self-custody in one product.
Why It Ranks HereTria confirmed cashback delivery once already: Season 1 was paid out in USDT to claimants who met the unlock conditions. On top of that, Premium delivers 6% cashback on the first $2,000/month (then 1%), 0% ATM, and up to 15% APY on idle USDC. The cashback alone makes Premium fee-positive from around $379/month of USD-billed spend (after the 0.5% per-payment fee), before any points math.
Watch Out$250/year fee, plus a new 1% FX on non-USD spend and 0.5% on every payment. Season 3 launched June 1, 2026: it capped the 6% to the first $2,000/month (then 1%) and replaced the staking bonus with a points and mystery-box program, where the boxes worth chasing need millions of points or large Tria-equity balances. Earlier Season 1 cashback was paid in USDT and Season 2 cashback is claimable August 31, 2026. The Signature tier ($109/yr, 4.5% to $1,000/month) offers the same self-custody at a lower fee.

Our VerdictThe Oobit Visa Card is a virtual, tap-to-pay crypto card with a Free annual fee that spends from your own wallet or an in-app balance. Domestic USD spending is cheap and the cashback is strong once unlocked at Level 2: 10% in OOB or 5% in gold on USDT, paid in 1-3 days. Foreign spending carries roughly 3% in FX, so it suits USD-heavy spenders best.

4. Tuyo Card

Free Self-Custodial Visa for USDC - 0% on USD, TUYOs Rewards Built-In

RewardsTBD
FX Fee1%
Annual FeeFree
Our VerdictThe Tuyo Card is a free self-custodial Visa where Free annual fee meets 0% on USD transactions and TUYOs rewards toward a 2026 token launch. The daily limit starts at $2,000 and increases with account history up to $10,000/day.
Why It Ranks HereTUYOs accrue on every dollar of card spend, plus on trading and Earn yield. Currently in Season 3 (Stacking Season) running until TGE. Tuyo has committed in writing to a 2026 TGE with 20% of token supply reserved for users and community - one of the highest user reservations in the space. Underlying card is free, self-custodial USDC on Base, with 0% on USD transactions, so the pre-TGE wait has near-zero cost for US-denominated spending. New signups via SpendNode's link get a 2x boost on accrued TUYOs.
Watch OutNo token ticker confirmed. No specific TGE quarter, just the 2026 year commitment. TUYOs are explicitly described in Tuyo's Terms as having no monetary significance until TGE, and Tuyo reserves the right to modify or terminate the program at any time. Non-USD spending carries up to 1% FX, which adds cost on EUR/GBP transactions. No physical card or ATM access yet. Not available to UK residents.
+Free issuance, zero monthly or annual fee
+0% on USD transactions, up to 1% FX on other currencies
+Self-custodial: Tuyo can only pull up to your daily limit from your USDC on Base balance

5. MetaMask Virtual Card

Sovereign Spending: 1% Cashback + Self-Custody + MetaMask Security

RewardsUp to 1%
FX Fee1%
Annual FeeFree
Our VerdictThe MetaMask Virtual Card is one of the cleanest free self-custodial cards in 2026. With a Free annual fee, 1% cashback, and direct wallet integration, it eliminates the need for exchange deposits. 1% rewards points add future upside.
Why It Ranks HereSeason 1 proved MetaMask is willing to run airdrop programs tied to card spending. Self-custody via MPC wallet. 1% cashback on the virtual card. If Season 2 launches, early users with transaction history may get favorable treatment.
Watch OutSeason 2 has not been announced. No start date, no structure, no guarantee it happens. Do not choose this card specifically for airdrop farming until S2 is confirmed. The 1% cashback is low compared to alternatives.
+1% cashback on all transactions

6. Solflare Card

Native Solana Spend: 0% Reload Fees + Airdrop Access

Our VerdictThe Solflare Card is the most Solana-integrated way to spend on-chain assets in retail. With speculative TBD potential through its 'Benefits' platform and a Free annual fee, it fits both daily Solana spenders and ecosystem participants.
Why It Ranks HereSolana-native self-custody wallet with card spending. The Benefits program showed Solflare is willing to run rewards campaigns. A direct cashback program has been referenced as coming soon.
Watch OutNo active rewards program right now. Zero guaranteed cashback from spending until the next program launches. Choosing this card today is a bet that the next program will be worth waiting for.

KAST K Card
Option 7Verified

7. KAST K Card

Free USD Cashback: 1.5% on First $2K/Month

RewardsUp to 1.5%
FX Fee0.5%
Annual FeeFree
Our VerdictThe K Card is KAST's free Standard tier entry point. It earns 1.5% USD cashback on the first $2,000 of spend per month (roughly $30/mo at the cap). Cashback unlocks after a 14-day timelock and applies to your next card purchase only. KAST replaced the previous $MOVE cashback program with this USD cashback model in May 2026.
Why It Ranks HereKAST Points still accrue on every Premium and Luxe card purchase (1% and 2% respectively, on top of USD cashback). Standard earns 0 KAST Points on card spend but does earn 0.25 KAST Points per 1 SOL per Solana epoch on staked SOL. Points are an ongoing loyalty stream rather than a season; KAST has not closed off a future token.
Watch OutKAST retired the Season 5 / pre-TGE points framing in May 2026. There is no published TGE timeline, no points-to-token conversion ratio, and no commitment that a $KAST token will launch. Treat any future airdrop as speculation, not a planned event. Standard tier earns no KAST Points on card spend at all - only Premium and Luxe carry the secondary points stream, and you have to weigh that against the higher tier costs.
+No annual fee ($40 physical card shipping)
+1.5% USD cashback on first $2,000/month of spend (max $30/mo)
+Instant Apple Pay and Google Pay
+Supports USDC, USDT, and USDe

2026 Airdrop Programs: Verified Status

How Airdrop Points Actually Accrue

The word "airdrop" implies tokens fall from the sky. The reality is a transaction-level accumulation system tied to your card spending.

Example: You swipe an xPlace Standard card at a coffee shop ($5 purchase)

StepWhat happensValue
1Card processes $5 transaction (MCC 5814)-
2xPlace records $5 in XP farming-
35 XP credited (1% rate at Standard tier)Speculative
40.5% USDC cashback, no transaction fee+$0.025
5XP sits with zero redeemable value until TGE$0 today
6At $XP TGE (Q4 2026): 5 XP convert to $XP tokens at issuer-set ratioUnknown
7Tokens are liquid at TGE per current xPlace messagingYour call

Steps 1-4 happen instantly. You walk out of the coffee shop with $0.025 in cashback plus 5 XP recorded. Steps 5-7 are the speculation. Those 5 XP could be worth $0.001 or $1.00 each. Nobody knows until the token launches.

Each program accrues differently.

xPlace ties XP rates to your card tier: Standard (1%), Silver (3%), Gold (6%), Platinum (10%).

KAST Points accrue on Premium (1%) and Luxe (2%) card spend only. Standard tier earns no KAST Points on card spend, though SOL staking still earns points across all tiers (0.25 KAST Points per 1 SOL per Solana epoch on Standard, 0.5 on Premium and Luxe).

Tria's Season 3 (live since June 2026) awards points on card spend - 1 point per $1 on Virtual, 1.5 points per $1 on Signature and Premium - toward seven ascending mystery boxes. The older XP seasons (1 and 2) are closed, though their rewards remain claimable.

The catch with Tria's earlier seasons: Season 1 showed that accumulating points is only half the equation.

Claiming required meeting additional conditions (25K XP + membership or trading volume), which caught many farmers off guard. Season 3's mystery boxes carry their own thresholds (see below).

The Three Numbers That Determine Airdrop Card Value

Number 1: Guaranteed annual cashback (the floor). This is what you earn regardless of whether the TGE succeeds, fails, or never happens.

CardGuaranteed RateAt $1K/moAt $3K/moAt $5K/moToken Paid In
KAST Standard1.5% USD cashback (capped at $2K/mo spend)$180/yr$360/yr (cap)$360/yr (cap)USD cashback (live, in-app card credit)
KAST Premium2% USD + 1% KAST Points (cap $10K/mo)$240/yr$720/yr$1,200/yr (cap)USD cashback + KAST Points (loyalty)
Tria Virtual1.5% first $100/mo then 0.5%, net of 0.5% fee$12/yr$12/yr$12/yrUSDT (live)
xPlace Standard0.5%$60/yr$180/yr$300/yrXP (not live)
SolflareTBDTBDTBDTBDTBD

KAST Premium carries the highest guaranteed floor here at higher spend (subject to its $10K/mo cap). Tria Virtual's 1.5% applies only to the first $100/month (then 0.5%), and after Tria's 0.5% per-payment fee the above-cap rate nets zero, so its floor is just ~$12/year; Tria's stronger floors come from the Signature (4.5% to $1,000/mo, about 4% net) and Premium (6% to $2,000/mo, about 5.5% net) tiers shown in the opportunity-cost table below. xPlace's guaranteed cashback is the lowest, meaning you are more dependent on the TGE outcome.

Number 2: Speculative upside (the ceiling). What your accumulated points could be worth at TGE, based on historical DeFi token launches.

ScenarioYour Points Worth (% of spend)At $12K/yr spendAt $36K/yr spendHistorical Examples
Bear case0.1%$12$36Failed launches, low liquidity
Conservative1%$120$360Most 2024-2025 DeFi launches
Moderate3%$360$1,080Mid-tier successful launches
Optimistic5%$600$1,800Strong community, high demand
Exceptional10%+$1,200+$3,600+Uniswap, Arbitrum-level events

Reality check: We track historical TGE valuations, and most DeFi token launches in 2024-2025 fell in the conservative-to-moderate range (1-3% of user spend). Plan for 1%, hope for 3%, celebrate anything above 5%.

Number 3: Opportunity cost (what you sacrifice). The guaranteed cashback you give up by choosing an airdrop card over a pure cashback card.

Spending LevelBest Pure Cashback CardGuaranteed/yrBest Airdrop CardGuaranteed/yrCashback Sacrificed
$1,000/moCoinbase (4%)$480Tria Virtual (1.5% to $100/mo, net of 0.5% fee)$12 - $25 fee = -$13$493
$3,000/moBitget (7.1% net)$2,556Tria Signature (4.5% to $1K/mo, net)$600 - $109 fee = $491$2,065
$5,000/moBitget (7.1% net)$4,260Tria Premium (6% to $2K/mo, net)$1,500 - $250 fee = $1,250$3,010

Tria still offers the highest headline cashback among cards with an active rewards season, but its Season 3 caps mean the floor only holds at moderate spend - the 4.5% covers the first $1,000/month on Signature and the 6% the first $2,000/month on Premium (about 4% and 5.5% net after Tria's 0.5% per-payment fee), then both drop to 1% (0.5% net). So the gap to an uncapped card like Bitget widens with spend. KAST is not in this comparison: Standard tier pays 1.5% USD cashback capped at $30/month, which is below every pure cashback option on this page. The TGE math hinges on xPlace; Tria's Season 3 upside now runs through its mystery boxes rather than a token conversion.

Airdrop Programs: Detailed Breakdown

KAST: Points Stream Restructured (May 2026)

KAST retired its Season 5 / pre-TGE points framing on May 5, 2026. The earlier "1 KAST Point = 1 KAST token at TGE" language is no longer in KAST's docs. There is no published TGE timeline, no points-to-token conversion ratio, and no commitment that a $KAST token will launch.

What still happens. KAST Points continue to accrue, but only on Premium and Luxe card spend (1% on Premium, 2% on Luxe). Standard tier earns no KAST Points on card spend. SOL staking still earns points across all tiers (0.25 KAST Points per 1 SOL per Solana epoch on Standard, 0.5 on Premium and Luxe). The 4% $MOVE cashback that headlined Season 5 was removed entirely; KAST now pays USD cashback at 1.5% / 2% / 3% across the three tiers, capped at $2K / $10K / $50K per month respectively.

What this means for airdrop farmers. KAST is no longer a clean pre-TGE play. Points still accrue, so a future airdrop is plausible, but it is unannounced and speculative. If you hold a KAST Premium or Luxe card primarily for the points, recognise that you are now paying tier fees against an unknown future event with no published mechanics, while earning actual but smaller USD cashback as the guaranteed floor.

Best for: Existing Premium or Luxe holders who already use KAST for daily spending and treat any future token as a bonus on top of USD cashback. New farmers seeking confirmed pre-TGE exposure are better served by xPlace ($XP confirmed, Q4 2026 TGE).

Tria: Season 3 Points + Mystery Boxes (Live June 2026)

Season 3 is the current program. As of June 2026, Tria card spend earns Season 3 points - 1 point per $1 on Virtual, 1.5 points per $1 on Signature and Premium - toward seven ascending mystery boxes. Points are also earnable by trading Decibel or Hyperliquid perps inside the app, separate from card spend. Cashback is now capped and paid in USDT on Arbitrum: 1.5% on the first $100/month (Virtual, then 0.5%), 4.5% on the first $1,000/month (Signature, then 1%), and 6% on the first $2,000/month (Premium, then 1%).

The mystery boxes are a lottery layer, not a cashback rate. The seven boxes ascend in value. Lower boxes hold vague surprise rewards (cashback credits, travel credits, ecosystem perks); higher boxes promise a minimum reward floor plus a Tria equity draw at season end. The top two are whale-gated: the Legendary box needs 5,000,000 points to unlock (roughly $3.3M of card spend at the 1.5-points-per-$1 rate), and the Infinity box pays a minimum $50,000 in Tria equity at season end, with the point threshold undisclosed. Boxes open monthly starting August 31, 2026. For a normal spender, the boxes are a thin lottery ticket layered on top of the capped cashback, which is the real economics.

Prior seasons still pay out. Season 1 cashback was paid in USDT to claimants who met the unlock conditions (25,000+ XP plus card membership or $25,000 in futures volume); those claims remain open until July 31, 2026. Season 2 XP accumulation is closed, with rewards (USDT plus staked TRIA) claimable from August 31, 2026. The Season 2 XP claim converts to staked TRIA at a fixed 10% APY, locked for 12 months and then unlocked monthly over the following 12 months - a 24-month path to a fully-spendable position.

Tria Season 2 staked TRIA claim mechanics: Claim your staked TRIA, Earn fixed 10% APY, Withdraw after 1 year. Note states after 12 months tokens become available on a monthly schedule for the next 12 months.

SpendNode app screenshot

Staked TRIA claim in-app. Locked for 12 months at fixed 10% APY, then unlocked monthly across the following 12 months. The total path from claim to fully-liquid is 24 months.

Card tiers: Virtual ($25/yr, currently free for a limited time, 1.5% on the first $100/mo), Signature ($109/year, 4.5% on the first $1,000/mo, lounge access), Premium ($250/year, 6% on the first $2,000/mo, metal card, 0% ATM fees). All tiers are self-custodial via Account Abstraction with up to 15% APY on idle USDC.

Honest framing. Tria's cashback delivery track record (Season 1 settled in real USDT) is a genuine credibility signal - few card programs have actually paid out a published season. But Season 3's headline draw, the mystery boxes, is a lottery that mainly rewards very high spenders and equity holders: the meaningful boxes sit behind point thresholds most users will never reach, and the capped cashback (1.5%/4.5%/6% only up to each tier's monthly cap, then 1%) is what a typical spender actually earns. If you are here for the card, the points and boxes are a background bonus while the cashback and up to 15% APY do the work. If you were farming Tria purely as a token play, the program has shifted from XP-to-token toward equity-draw boxes that are far harder to plan around - and Jupiter Global pays 4% cashback in 2 days on a free card with a $100 signup bonus.

Best for: Self-custody users who want a capped-but-high cashback rate (4.5% to $1,000/mo, 6% to $2,000/mo) plus up to 15% APY on idle USDC, and who treat the Season 3 boxes as a free lottery rather than the reason to hold the card. Pure-farm strategies are weak now that the token-conversion path has been replaced by whale-gated equity boxes.

xPlace: $XP Token Confirmed (TGE Q4 2026)

XP rates by tier: Standard (1%, free), Silver (3%, $99/yr), Gold (6%, $249/yr), Platinum (10%, $999/yr). $XP confirmed as the official token ticker. TGE Q4 2026. Airdrop allocations: 5% to ecosystem partners (Seeker, Superteam, cherry.fun) and 2.5% to NFT communities (Claynosaurz, MonkeDAO, Lucid Drakes, Solana Sensei, Dead King Society). Limited-time upgrade boosts: Silver 4,000 XP, Gold 20,000 XP, Platinum 100,000 XP.

Separate xpSOL airdrop: xPlace also announced a separate airdrop of their liquidity token, xpSOL. Requirements: Silver membership or higher and $1,000+ in credit mode spending. This is independent of the $XP airdrop. Credit mode lets you spend against your crypto holdings without selling, so the $1,000 threshold applies to card purchases made in that mode specifically.

Best for: Solana-native users who want ecosystem exposure and are willing to lock in a card tier for maximum XP earning. Two separate airdrops ($XP + xpSOL) reward both general activity and credit mode spending.

Tuyo: TUYOs Program (Season 3, TGE 2026)

TUYOs accrue on card spend, trading on Tuyo, and Earn yield, plus 20% of friends' rewards via referrals. The program runs in seasons with multipliers stepping down each cycle: Season 0 Pioneers (closed Nov 2025), Season 1 Early Adopters (closed Dec 2025), Season 2 FOMO (closed Jan 2026), and Season 3 Stacking Season running until TGE. New users joining today are in Season 3 with the lowest multiplier per TUYO but the longest accrual window.

TGE commitment. Tuyo has stated a 2026 TGE with 20% of token supply reserved for users and community - one of the highest user reservations in the space. No specific quarter and no token ticker have been announced. The Terms of Service describe TUYOs as having no monetary significance until TGE.

Underlying card economics. The Tuyo Card itself is free, fully self-custodial (USDC on Base), 0% on USD transactions, and up to 1% FX on other currencies. The pre-TGE wait has near-zero cost for a US-denominated spender.

Best for: USDC spenders who want a free self-custodial card today plus exposure to the 2026 TGE. Strongest pick after xPlace for farmers who want airdrop exposure on a completely free card with no tier ladder to climb.

Oobit: 5X Points + Monthly Airdrops (Live)

Oobit's 5X program is a live points-and-airdrop layer, not a pre-TGE bet. Card taps earn points by level (1,000-5,000 per tap), and those points carry a small but disclosed value of about 0.02 USDT per 1,000 points. Higher levels unlock Daily Drops (Level 3) and Monthly Airdrops (Level 5), and a referral pays 200,000 points when a friend spends $100 within 14 days. Because OOB is already a live, tradeable token, there is no TGE to wait on - the value is small but real and immediate, unlike xPlace's or Tuyo's pre-TGE speculation.

The card economics carry the program: up to 10% back in OOB or 5% in gold with no token to stake and no annual fee. Oobit's FX runs about 3% on non-USD spend, so it pays best funded and spent in USDT.

Best for: Spenders who hold Oobit for its no-stake cashback and treat the points and monthly airdrops as a live bonus rather than a token-launch lottery.

MetaMask: Season 1 Closed, Season 2 TBD

MetaMask ran its first rewards season from launch through January 23, 2026. Season 1 point accumulation ended and the claim window closed on February 13, 2026. Unclaimed Season 1 points are forfeited. Season 2 has been mentioned but no official start date or structure has been announced. New users should wait for Season 2 announcement before optimizing for airdrop farming.

Solflare: The Benefits (Raffle Ended, Cashback TBD)

Solflare ran "The Benefits," a gamified rewards platform that included a Porsche 911 GT3 raffle. The raffle ended February 14, 2026. A direct cashback program has been referenced as "coming soon" but no launch date or rate has been confirmed. Until the next rewards program launches, the Solflare card earns no guaranteed cashback from spending.

Best for: Solana-native users who want self-custody spending now and are willing to wait for the next rewards program. Check back for updates on direct cashback launch.

Result: Erik earns $48/year in guaranteed cashback (0.5%, no transaction fee) and accumulates 9,600 XP toward the confirmed $XP airdrop at TGE Q4 2026. Annual fee: $0. With no fee and no transaction cost, his only trade-off is the higher cashback he could earn on a pure-cashback card. Conservative TGE outcome (1% of spend) = $96, moderate (3%) = $288, both on top of the $48 he already keeps. KAST is not the right primary card for this profile - the Standard tier pays 1.5% USD cashback capped at $30/month with no points on card spend, lacking the dual-rewards advantage xPlace offers.

Scenario 2: Mei, Product Designer in Singapore

Setup: Monthly spending: $3,000. Comfortable with crypto. Wants diversified airdrop exposure across ecosystems.

Cards: Tria Signature (daily spending) + xPlace Standard (Solana ecosystem) + KAST Premium (USD cashback floor + secondary KAST Points loyalty)

CardMonthly SpendGuaranteed CashbackPoints/XP EarnedAnnual GuaranteedAnnual Speculative
Tria Signature ($109/yr)$1,500$42.50/mo (4% net to $1K, then 0.5%)Season 3 points$510 - $109 fee = $401Season 3 boxes (lottery)
xPlace Standard$500+$2.50/mo (0.5% cashback)XP (1% rate)$30$60-$300
KAST Premium ($1,000/yr)$1,000$20/mo (2% USD cashback)1,000 KAST Points/mo$240 - $1,000 fee = -$760Speculative, no published TGE
Total$3,000-$329$60-$300+

Result: -$329/year net guaranteed once KAST Premium's $1,000 annual fee is accounted for. Tria Signature is the profitable anchor ($401 net after the 0.5% fee), and xPlace Standard adds a small $30 on top while holding the confirmed-TGE position. KAST Premium is sharply fee-negative at this spending level: $1,000 in fees against $240 in USD cashback, with the only justification being a future $KAST airdrop that has no published TGE date or conversion ratio. At $3,000/month total spend, Mei would do better by dropping KAST Premium and replacing the $1,000 slot with a free card like KAST Standard or Bitget - keeping airdrop exposure on xPlace alone and routing the rest of her spend through Tria. The current setup only makes sense if she has high conviction on a future KAST airdrop materially exceeding $760 in value.

Scenario 3: Daniel, Crypto Fund Associate in Zurich

Setup: Monthly spending: $6,000. High spender who views airdrop farming as portfolio allocation. Willing to pay for premium tiers.

Cards: KAST X Card ($1,000/yr, 2% USD + 1% KAST Points, $10K/mo cap) + Tria Signature ($109/yr, 4.5% to $1k/mo cashback) + xPlace Gold ($249/yr, 6% XP)

CardMonthly SpendGuaranteed CashbackPoints/XP RateAnnual GuaranteedAnnual Speculative
KAST X Card$3,000$60/mo (2% USD, under $10K cap)3,000 KAST Points/mo (1%)$720 - $1,000 fee = -$280Speculative, no published TGE
Tria Signature$2,000$45/mo (4% net to $1K, then 0.5%)Season 3 points$540 - $109 fee = $431Season 3 boxes (lottery)
xPlace Gold$1,000+$15/mo (1.5% cashback)XP (6% rate)$180 - $249 fee = -$69$360-$1,800
Total$6,000+$82 net$360-$1,800+

Result: +$82/year net guaranteed after fees. Tria Signature is the strongest slot ($431 net after the $109 and 0.5% fees). KAST X Card is fee-negative at this spending level: $720 in USD cashback against the $1,000 annual fee leaves a -$280 gap, with KAST Points as a speculative bonus and no published TGE. xPlace Gold runs a small -$69/year on cashback (1.5% on $1,000/mo against the $249 fee), justified by the confirmed $XP TGE in Q4 2026 and the 6% XP rate. KAST X Card would only break even on cashback at roughly $4,170/month of spend on this card alone - and even then there is no airdrop date to plan around.

Compare to pure cashback: Bitget at 7.1% on $6,000/mo = $5,112/yr guaranteed with zero fees. Daniel sacrifices roughly $5,030/year against Bitget for the airdrop exposure. The xPlace TGE upside ($360-$1,800 conservative-to-optimistic) plus any future unannounced KAST airdrop would need to clear that gap for the strategy to outperform. At optimistic xPlace outcomes alone, it does not. KAST would need to deliver a substantial unannounced airdrop for the math to flip - a possibility, but not one Daniel can plan around.

Layer Stacking: Multi-Card Strategy

Budget version (2 cards, minimal fees): Tria Virtual for daily spending ($25/yr, 1.5% on the first $100/mo, self-custody) + xPlace Standard ($0/year) for Solana ecosystem XP on confirmed-TGE side. Total guaranteed: 1-1.5% blended after fees, plus speculative XP toward $XP TGE Q4 2026.

Standard version (3 cards, minimal cost): Add KAST Standard ($0 annual) for a 1.5% USD cashback floor on the first $2K/month and an unannounced future-airdrop bet via SOL staking points. Diversifies across xPlace (confirmed TGE) and KAST (speculative, no TGE date) without taking on tier fees.

Premium version (3 cards, fees apply): Tria Premium ($250/yr, 6% to $2k/mo cashback) + xPlace Gold ($249/yr, 6% XP) + KAST Solana Gold (Luxe) (3% USD cashback + 2% KAST Points, $50K/mo cap). Tria Premium pays for itself at any spending above roughly $4,550/year (at its ~5.5% net rate after the 0.5% fee). xPlace Gold only justifies its fee through TGE upside. KAST Luxe makes sense as the highest-tier USD cashback option (3% capped at $50K/mo = up to $1,500/mo), with KAST Points as a speculative bonus on top - not as the primary justification for the tier cost.

The rule: Never pay more in card fees than the guaranteed cashback earns. Every card in your strategy should be cashback-positive on its own merits. The airdrop is the bonus, not the justification.

Tax Implications for Airdrop Tokens

Airdrop tokens create taxable events in most jurisdictions. The tax treatment differs between pre-TGE points and live token rewards.

EventUS TreatmentEU TreatmentAction
Receiving USD cashback (live, e.g. KAST USDC, Tria USDC)Ordinary income at FMV on receiptVaries, often taxableRecord FMV on receipt
KAST Points accruing (loyalty, no TGE date)No tax event (no FMV)No tax eventTrack points count only
Points converting to tokens at TGEOrdinary income at FMVOrdinary income (most)Record token price at conversion
Selling airdrop tokensCapital gain/loss on diffCapital gains (most)Use FIFO or specific ID
Vested tokens unlockingIncome at unlock FMVIncome at unlockRecord each unlock date

Pre-TGE points have no Fair Market Value, so they do not create a taxable event while accumulating. The tax event occurs when points convert to tokens at TGE. If you choose the vested option (25% instant + 75% over 24 months), you have 24 months of taxable unlock events to track. The instant option (50% liquid) is simpler from a tax perspective. See our tax-conscious guide.

Card Selection by Use Case

Maximum pre-TGE speculation with confirmed token: xPlace ($XP confirmed, TGE Q4 2026). Tier-gated XP rates (1% Standard, 3% Silver, 6% Gold, 10% Platinum). The clearest active pre-TGE play on this page.

Self-custody + high cashback: Tria (1.5-6% capped cashback, up to 15% APY, Season 3 points + mystery boxes live). Highest headline rate among self-custody cards with a rewards season, though the cashback caps at $1,000/mo (Signature) and $2,000/mo (Premium).

Solana ecosystem exposure: xPlace (XP farming, TGE Q4 2026) or Solflare (next rewards program TBD). Both Solana-native with self-custody.

Self-custody + airdrops: xPlace (Solana self-custody) and MetaMask (MPC wallet, S2 TBD) are the cleaner forward-looking watches. Tria remains relevant for self-custody and its live Season 3 points-and-mystery-box program, though Season 3 replaced the old XP-to-token path with equity-draw boxes.

Beginners (first airdrop): xPlace Standard ($0 fee, 1% XP toward confirmed $XP TGE) paired with a primary cashback card. Simpler than KAST now that KAST's pre-TGE framing has been retired.

Quick Verdict

The most valuable airdrop card is not the one with the highest point multiplier. It is the one where (Guaranteed Cashback + Conservative TGE Value - Annual Fee - Opportunity Cost) = Highest Positive Number. With KAST's Season 5 framing retired in May 2026, the two active pre-TGE plays with the firmest commitments are xPlace (confirmed $XP token, Q4 2026 TGE) and Tuyo (2026 TGE planned, 20% of supply reserved for users, and a free self-custodial USDC card that costs nothing to use while you wait).

Tria combines a high (if now capped) cashback rate (1.5-6%, to each tier's monthly cap) with a self-custodial card model and a live Season 3 points-and-mystery-box program, though the meaningful boxes are whale-gated. KAST still issues KAST Points on Premium and Luxe tiers, but with no published TGE date or conversion ratio, treat any future airdrop there as speculation rather than a planned event. Never sacrifice guaranteed cashback for speculative points unless you have done the break-even math. Farm airdrops as a bonus on spending you would do anyway, not as an investment strategy.

One more thing: have an exit plan before any TGE happens. Most airdrop tokens spike at launch, then decline 60-80% within three months as farmers sell. Decide in advance whether you will sell immediately, sell half and hold half, or hold everything. The safest approach is to sell enough at TGE to recover whatever cashback you sacrificed by choosing an airdrop card, then treat the rest as a free position.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I earn airdrops with a crypto card?

Most airdrop-eligible cards use a points or XP system. Every dollar you spend earns protocol points (like xPlace XP). These points may convert to tokens during a Token Generation Event (TGE) if the issuer announces one.

Are these airdrops guaranteed?

No. Pre-TGE points are speculative. The final value depends on the token launch price and market conditions. Some cards like Tria pay cashback in live USDT alongside a points-and-mystery-box program (Season 3, live since June 2026), but the box rewards and any season-end equity draw are never guaranteed.

Which cards have the best airdrop potential in 2026?

xPlace (XP Farming, TGE Q4 2026) is the clearest active pre-TGE card program. Tria launched Season 3 (June 2026), a points-and-mystery-box program that replaced the old XP seasons; Season 1 claims remain open until July 31, 2026 and Season 2 rewards are claimable from August 31, 2026.

KAST replaced its Season 5 / pre-TGE points framing with USD cashback in May 2026 - KAST Points still accrue on Premium and Luxe tiers as a secondary loyalty stream, but KAST no longer publishes a TGE timeline or token conversion ratio. MetaMask Season 2 is TBD. Solflare next program TBD.

How much are pre-TGE points worth?

Nobody knows until the token launches. As a conservative baseline, assume points are worth 1% of your total card spend. A user spending $24,000/year should expect roughly $240 in token value at TGE. Anything above this is upside from a successful launch.

Can I farm multiple airdrop cards at the same time?

Yes. Many airdrop farmers split spending across xPlace (XP accumulation) and other card programs as they open. Tria's Season 3 points program (card spend earns points toward mystery boxes) is now the active program, with the earlier XP seasons closed. KAST is no longer a clean pre-TGE play (Season 5 was retired in May 2026), though Premium and Luxe tiers still earn KAST Points as a secondary loyalty bonus on top of USD cashback.

What is the difference between airdrop points and cashback?

Cashback pays you a known percentage immediately in tokens or stablecoins. Airdrop points accumulate with unknown value until a Token Generation Event (TGE) converts them to tokens. Cashback is guaranteed value. Points are speculative with potentially higher upside.

Do airdrop programs have minimum spending requirements?

Most do not have hard minimums, but earning meaningful rewards requires consistent spending. xPlace XP multipliers scale with card tier (higher tiers = faster accumulation). Some programs have claim conditions beyond just accumulating points - Tria Season 1 required 25,000 XP plus either card membership or futures trading volume.

  • Tria launched Season 3 (June 1, 2026): the old Rewards-Season XP/staking mechanic is replaced by a points program (1 to 1.5 points per $1 of card spend) feeding a seven-tier mystery-box ladder, with boxes opening monthly from August 31, 2026
  • The headline boxes are whale-gated - Legendary unlocks at 5,000,000 points (roughly $3.3M of card spend) and Infinity needs a minimum $50,000 Tria-equity balance - so for normal spenders the capped cashback, not the boxes, is still the real economics
