Oobit is a global crypto payments app that lets users spend cryptocurrency anywhere Visa is accepted, converting crypto to local fiat at the point of sale. It runs a hybrid model: connect an external self-custody wallet and keep your keys until checkout, or hold a balance in the in-app custodial wallet. The card is virtual, added to Apple Pay or Google Pay, issued via ThirdNational in Puerto Rico under Oobit Technologies UAB, with a separate Brazil setup via Pomelo.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Oobit crypto card available in the United States?
No. Oobit crypto card is not available in the United States.
Is the Oobit card self-custodial?
It is hybrid. You can connect an external self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom via WalletConnect) and keep control of your keys until the moment of payment, or you can hold a balance in Oobit's in-app wallet, which is custodial and held by Oobit on your behalf. Self-custody users keep access to unspent funds if Oobit ever disappears; in-app balances depend on Oobit.
How much cashback does Oobit actually pay?
Cashback unlocks only after you reach Level 2 of the 5X rewards programme (five qualifying payments in 30 days). Paying with USDT earns 5% back paid in XAUT (Tether Gold) on up to $200 of spend per month; paying with the OOB token earns 10% back in OOB on up to $1,000 of spend per month. Other assets earn no cashback. Rewards arrive 1-3 days after the payment settles.
Does the Oobit card charge FX fees?
Oobit's card terms disclose a foreign-exchange fee of up to 3% plus a possible cross-border fee. On a live non-USD (Malaysian ringgit) purchase, SpendNode measured about 3% baked into the conversion, on top of the standard 1% (minimum $0.25) transaction fee. Spending at merchants priced in USD avoids most of the FX cost.
How do you choose Oobit crypto cards?
We compare verified issuer sources, fees, and eligibility. Availability can change, so confirm with the issuer before applying.
Do all cards in this list offer the same benefits?
