COCA is giving new customers a brief taste of its top cashback rate. In a November 2 post on X, the non-custodial card app said anyone who signs up this month earns 8% back on their first three card purchases, with nothing to stake and nothing to pay. The promotion runs from November 2 through November 30.
8% that normally sits behind a 30,000-token stake
That 8% figure is not arbitrary. It matches the rate COCA reserves for Elite, the highest of its six cashback tiers, which usually requires locking 30,000 $COCA tokens. For the November window, COCA is handing that same headline rate to brand-new users without any token stake or paid plan. Free Starter accounts normally earn 1%.
The reward is small and capped
The honest read: this is a welcome incentive, not a standing rate. Per COCA's promotion terms, the 8% applies to roughly $300 of combined spend across the three qualifying purchases, so the bonus tops out near $24. After the third purchase, Starter users return to the standard 1% unless they upgrade a tier.
Several transaction types are excluded. Crypto trades, account top-ups, transfers, ATM withdrawals, cash-like transactions, refunds, and reversals do not count toward the three eligible purchases. The reward can still stack with COCA's separate referral bonus.
Eligibility and the mechanics behind the card
The offer is limited to new users who register and clear identity verification inside the window, across COCA's 76 supported markets. The COCA Visa card is a non-custodial debit card issued through Wirex, with zero foreign exchange markup and funds held in a Privy smart wallet rather than on an exchange. Cashback pays out in stablecoins after a 14-day pending period.
One mechanic new users should know before expecting money to land: COCA meters withdrawals through a Monthly Claim Capacity, which starts at $15 a month on the free tier and is shared across cashback, rebates, referrals, and campaign rewards. A $24 promotional reward would take two monthly claim cycles to fully withdraw at Starter, since the cap limits how much reward value leaves the account each month.
A low-commitment way to try the card
For someone curious about COCA, the promo is a cheap entry point. The free tier already includes 0% FX, a personal IBAN, and 5% APY on USD balances, and the November offer adds a short stretch at the 8% rate without touching the token. Reaching 8% permanently is a different decision: it means staking up to 30,000 $COCA, a small-cap token, and accepting a 30-day cooldown to unstake. A price drop in $COCA can erase cashback gains, which is the trade-off the promo lets new users skip for a few purchases.
Overview
COCA opened a November welcome promotion, confirmed in a November 2 post on X: new users who sign up and verify by November 30 earn 8% cashback on their first three card purchases, with no token stake or paid tier. The rate matches COCA's top Elite tier but applies to about $300 of spend, capping the bonus near $24, after which free accounts return to 1%. It is a low-commitment way to test a non-custodial Visa with 0% FX and 5% APY, without taking on $COCA token risk.
