SpendNode Rating for Pulsar Pro Card
Pulsar Pro costs $9.99 monthly or $99.99 annually, pays 2% in points on the first $1,000 of ordinary monthly spend, and reaches 4% at selected merchants.
The first $1,000 monthly band earns 2%, but the $99.99 annual fee reduces the net return at that spend level to about 1.17%. Rewards then fall to 0.5%, while 4% requires selected merchants and every redemption uses the claim-based points flow. The future Premium Virtual Card, hybrid custody, 1% cross-currency fee, and limited operating history keep this below stronger paid cards.
Also relevant for Rewards / Cashback.

Pulsar Pro Card Overview
Up to 4% in Pulsar Points With Higher Monthly Reward Bands
Pulsar Pro is the live paid plan for heavier card users. It raises the first monthly reward band to an equivalent 2% on $1,000 of ordinary eligible spending and doubles points at selected merchants such as Bolt, Uber, X, Claude, and ChatGPT, producing the advertised maximum of 4%. The annual plan can beat Free on reward value alone at roughly $548 of eligible monthly spend if the published monthly bands reset as described and points are redeemed at the best rate. Pro is less convincing for low spenders or anyone unlikely to claim points against purchases. The subscription and higher rewards are live, while the distinct Premium Virtual Card shown within Pro remains marked coming soon.

Pulsar Pro is the live paid tier of Pulsar Money's virtual Visa program. It costs $9.99 monthly or $99.99 annually, earns an equivalent 2% in Pulsar Points on the first $1,000 of ordinary eligible monthly spending, and reaches 4% at selected double-points merchants.
The Paid Pulsar Plan
Pulsar Pro upgrades the reward bands and app benefits attached to the working Pulsar card account. It is available as a monthly or annual subscription and can be purchased from the app.
The reviewed Malaysian account displayed localized prices of RM49.90 per month and RM499.90 per year. Pulsar's help documentation lists the reference prices as $9.99 monthly and $99.99 annually.
The Pro screen also displays a separate silver Premium Virtual Card and labels it "Coming soon." That later card design should not be confused with the subscription itself: the Pro plan, higher points bands, joining reward, and listed plan benefits are live.

Plan and card status are separate. Pro can be bought now. The dedicated Premium Virtual Card inside the plan is the feature that remains marked coming soon.
Card Specs: What You Are Actually Getting

| Mobile wallets | Apple Pay and Google Pay |
| Cross-currency FX | 1% |

- Install Pulsar and create an account.
- Find Have an invite code? and tap Enter Code.
- Enter 9HVX3 exactly to skip the queue.

The code is entered manually in the app rather than carried automatically by the general download URL.

- Register and enter invite code 9HVX3.
- Complete the profile, document, selfie, and compliance checks.

Card verification comes before plan economics matter. Eligibility, provider terms, and KYC apply to the underlying card account whether the user stays on Free or buys Pro.
Rewards and Cashback
Pulsar describes the reward as "up to 4% back," but the normal and doubled rates need to be separated:
| Portion of monthly eligible spend | Ordinary Pro rate | Selected double-points rate |
|---|---|---|
| First $1,000 | 2% | Up to 4% |
| Next $9,000 | 0.5% | Up to 1% if the multiplier applies |
| Above $10,000 | 0.25% | Promotion-dependent |
The reviewed app named Bolt, Uber, X, Claude, and ChatGPT among the selected double-points merchants. Merchant identification depends on the transaction data and eligible merchant category, not merely the name shown on a receipt.

SpendNode app screenshot
The headline has a clear condition. First-band ordinary spending earns 2%; the advertised 4% requires a selected double-points merchant.
How Pulsar Points Are Redeemed
Pro uses the same claim system as Free. Points accumulate from eligible settled purchases, then the user selects a recent qualifying transaction and requests a USDC refund.
| Refund selected | Points required per $1 refunded |
|---|---|
| 25% | 100 |
| 50% | 100 |
| 75% | 112 |
| 100% | 125 |
The advertised 2% and 4% values assume the strongest 100-points-per-dollar conversion. Using points for a 75% or 100% refund reduces their effective value.
Eligible purchases generally must be less than 30 days old and between $0.50 and $200. ATM activity, transfers, crypto trades and swaps, peer-to-peer transactions, canceled purchases, declines, and refunds do not qualify.
The $10 Pro Joining Reward
The live plan screen reviewed by SpendNode displayed "Get $10 back when you first join Pro" and described the benefit as $10 in Pulsar Points. It appeared alongside both monthly and annual plan selection.
Treat it as a points reward rather than a direct subscription discount. Its practical value depends on completing an eligible purchase and using the points-refund flow. Confirm that the offer remains visible on the final plan screen before paying because promotions can change.
Break-Even Math
Pro's break-even depends on its extra reward over the Free plan, not its full reward rate.
For the first $500 of ordinary eligible monthly spend, Pro adds 1.5 percentage points over Free. From $500 to $1,000, it adds 1.75 percentage points.
| Billing option | Approximate monthly spend needed to offset price through ordinary rewards |
|---|---|
| Annual plan, spread over 12 months | About $548/month |
| Monthly plan | About $642/month |
The calculation assumes monthly reward bands reset as published and points are redeemed at 100 points per $1. Double-points merchants, the first-join reward, partner discounts, priority support, and Invest-fee savings can lower the practical break-even. Poor redemption choices can raise it.
The estimate also assumes enough eligible purchases between $0.50 and $200 remain available within the 30-day claim window. Spending concentrated in larger transactions can reduce usable redemption value and push the effective break-even higher.
At exactly $500 per month, Pro earns about $10 while Free earns about $2.50, a difference of $7.50 per month or $90 per year. That is close to, but still below, the $99.99 annual price before other benefits.
Fees and Rates
| Cost | Pro term |
|---|---|
| Subscription | $9.99/month or $99.99/year |
| Virtual-card issuance | $0 |
| Stablecoin funding | $0 Pulsar fee |
| Same-currency spending | 0% Pulsar FX |
| Cross-currency spending | 1% Pulsar FX |
| In-app swap | 1.25% |
| Pulsar Invest fee | 0% on Pro |
| Sponsored swap allowance | 500/month where available |
Pro does not remove the card's 1% cross-currency fee or the regular 1.25% swap fee. Its 0% Invest pricing applies to Pulsar's separate investment feature.

The plan does not make every route free. Matching stablecoin funding and same-currency spending can avoid Pulsar fees, while swaps and cross-currency purchases retain their listed charges.
Pro Perks Beyond Points
The reviewed plan includes:
- 500 gas-sponsored swaps each month where available.
- Zero Pulsar Invest fees.
- Priority customer support.
- Access to a private Telegram group.
- Partner offers, including the Summ discount shown in the app.
- The future Premium Virtual Card.

Support and partner perks have no fixed cash value. For most cardholders, the measurable decision remains subscription price versus incremental points value.
Card Funding and Spending
Pro uses the same underlying balance routes as Free:
- USDT or USDC can fund the available USD balance.
- EURC can fund the available EUR balance.
- Supported deposits run over listed EVM networks, Solana, and TRON.
The cleanest route is to match the merchant and spending-balance currency. A USD purchase from USD or a EUR purchase from EUR avoids Pulsar's cross-currency fee. Direct ETH card funding is not supported.
Limits and Restrictions
The reviewed account exposed a daily-limit control up to EUR 30,000. Pulsar's help material uses a $30,000 reference. Plan membership does not guarantee that maximum or a higher limit; the app and provider controls determine the actual account allowance.
Countries and Availability
Pro follows the same published card-country list as the underlying Pulsar card: 76 countries and territories, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, and Indonesia. ACH and SEPA account details have separate country lists.
Apple Pay, Google Pay and Card Design
The issued black Pulsar Visa can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Pro's current reward plan can operate on the active account while the distinct silver Premium Virtual Card remains unavailable.
Buy Pro for the current rewards and plan benefits. The replacement silver card design is still labeled coming soon.
Is Pulsar Pro Safe?
Pulsar is an interface connecting wallet, card, transfer, and DeFi features supplied under different legal and technical arrangements. Card value can sit in a provider balance or provider-controlled smart account even when other wallet assets remain user-linked.
The Pro subscription does not turn these balances into insured deposits. It also does not remove Visa, Wirex, stablecoin, smart-account, or service-continuity risk. Keep only a practical spending amount available to the card and retain copies of the provider terms accepted during activation.
Is Pulsar Pro a Scam?
SpendNode found no evidence that Pulsar Pro is a scam. The paid plan, localized subscription prices, reward bands, joining points, and plan controls were visible in the verified app account. SpendNode also used the underlying Pulsar Visa successfully. The separate silver Premium Virtual Card remains marked coming soon, so buy Pro for the live subscription benefits rather than that future card design.
Real User Scenarios
$600 of Ordinary Monthly Spending
Pro earns about $12. Free earns about $2.75. The $9.25 monthly difference exceeds the annual plan's effective monthly cost of about $8.33, but not the $9.99 monthly price. Annual billing is the better fit if that spend is stable.
$1,000 of Ordinary Monthly Spending
Pro earns about $20, while Free earns about $3.75. The $16.25 monthly difference comfortably covers either billing option before considering other perks.
$300 With Double-Points Merchants
If all $300 codes as eligible selected-merchant spend, Pro produces about $12 at 4%. Free's ordinary rate would produce about $1.50. The incremental $10.50 can cover the monthly subscription, but merchant recognition and continued partner status matter.
How Pulsar Pro Compares
Pulsar Free Card keeps the same account and mobile-wallet utility without a subscription. It is the better choice below Pro's practical break-even.
Tria Signature has stronger first-band cashback but a different paid membership, self-custody design, and transaction-fee structure.
Plasma One Core offers higher base rewards and AI-category boosts. It costs more annually and pays rewards in XPL rather than through Pulsar's USDC refund mechanism.
Who Should Use Pulsar Pro?
Pro fits someone spending at least the mid-$500s each month in eligible categories, especially if annual billing and selected double-points merchants match normal expenses. It also suits users who already plan to use Pulsar Invest, partner offers, or the larger sponsored-swap allowance.
It is weaker for light spenders, anyone who wants automatic cash rewards, and users primarily interested in the future silver card rather than the live plan benefits.
Pulsar Pro Verdict
Pulsar Pro is a paid points plan with a 2% ordinary first band, a 4% selected-merchant ceiling, and a claim-based USDC refund system. Calling it a 4% card leaves out the merchant restriction.
The economics are sound for a regular user who exceeds roughly $548 of ordinary eligible monthly spending on annual billing or makes meaningful use of double-points merchants. Below that level, Free preserves the same underlying payment utility without another subscription.
