How SpendNode Makes Money
SpendNode is a free comparison platform. We earn revenue primarily through affiliate partnerships with some of the crypto card issuers listed on our site. When you click an "Apply Now" or "Visit" link on a card profile and subsequently sign up, we may receive a referral commission from the issuer at no additional cost to you.
Which Vendors Are Affiliate Partners?
As of February 2026, we have active affiliate or referral relationships with the following vendors:
- Crypto.com
- ether.fi
- RedotPay
- OKX
- Gate.io
- Solflare
- xPlace
- Bitget
- KAST
The remaining vendors in our directory (the majority) have no commercial relationship with SpendNode. They are included because they are legitimate products that our users should know about.
What This Means for You
Your costs do not change. Affiliate links do not add fees, markups, or surcharges to your account. The terms you receive from the issuer are the same whether you use our link or go directly to their website.
Our data cannot be bought. Affiliate status does not influence our fee listings, cashback rates, regional availability flags, custody classifications, or any other data point on SpendNode. Every data point is verified against the issuer's live documentation, regardless of partnership status.
Our rankings are not for sale. No vendor can pay to appear higher in a "Best Of" list or comparison verdict. Our card recommendations are based on verified data and spending math (see our Methodology for the full scoring framework).
How Affiliate Status Affects What You See
In the interest of full transparency, here is exactly how affiliate partnerships interact with SpendNode:
What IS affected:
- "Apply Now" and "Visit" buttons on affiliate vendor pages use referral tracking links instead of direct URLs.
- Featured boxes on category and benefit pages display cards from affiliate and Platinum-tier partners. "Featured" means paid visibility. It is not a recommendation, endorsement, or editorial ranking. Featured placement does not influence the card's position in our Top X lists, comparison verdicts, or editorial content.
What is NOT affected:
- Top X lists and rankings in our editorial content. These are determined algorithmically by verified card data (cashback rates, fees, regional availability). No vendor can buy a higher position in a Top X list.
- Fee data, cashback rates, FX markups, ATM fees, and regional availability.
- Editorial content, card reviews, comparison verdicts, and spending scenarios.
- Our decision to include or exclude a card from the directory.
- Negative findings. If an affiliate partner's card has high hidden fees, we report that.
