SpendNode Rating for Xplace Silver Card
Xplace Silver is easier to defend when you start from the cashback and XP math, not the club language around it.
The XP angle and rewards logic give this card more texture than Standard. At a $99 fee, heavier spenders clear the cost through 1% cashback and a 3% XP rate; lighter spenders still come out slightly behind. 3.8 on Cost Efficiency reflects a fee that is easy to justify once the card is actually used.

On This Page
The Xplace Silver Card is the first paid membership tier of Xplace, a non-custodial crypto credit card on Solana. For $99/year it adds 1% USDC cashback, 0.5% FX, 3% XP, a physical card, and one annual airport lounge visit on top of the Kamino-backed USDC credit line.
What Is the Xplace Silver Card?
The Xplace Silver Card is the first paid tier of the Xplace program: a physical, non-custodial crypto credit card on Solana with 1% USDC cashback, 3% XP, a 0% card transaction fee, a 0.5% FX fee, a $10,000 monthly spending limit ($3,000 per transaction), and one airport lounge visit per year, for $99/year.
Like the rest of the lineup, it is now a borrow-to-spend credit line rather than a debit card: you deposit SOL, jitoSOL, USDT, or ETH and BTC exposure (as wETH and cbBTC) into Kamino Finance, that collateral earns yield and backs a USDC credit line, and you spend it in Credit Mode (or spend deposited USDC directly in Cash Mode).
The economics changed with the rest of the program. The old 1% transaction fee that made Silver a break-even-at-best tier is gone, the annual fee dropped from $200 to $99, and FX halved to 0.5%. Silver now returns a clean +1% on domestic spend, recovers its fee at well under $1,000/month, and adds a physical card plus a lounge visit on top.

Fees and Rates
| Fee | Amount |
|---|---|
| Annual fee | $99 |
| Card transaction fee | 0% |
| FX fee | 0.5% |
| Bank transfer fee | 1.5% |
| USDC cashback | 1% |

Net Per-Transaction Return
| Spending Type | Cashback | Card Fee | FX Fee | Net Per $100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Domestic (base currency) | +$1.00 | $0 | $0 | +$1.00 |
| International | +$1.00 | $0 | -$0.50 | +$0.50 |
With no transaction fee, domestic spend earns a clean +1%, and even international spend stays positive at +0.5% after the halved FX. The $99 annual fee is the only thing to recover.
Annual Position at Different Spending Levels
| Monthly Spend | Cashback (1%) | FX (50% intl, 0.5%) | Annual Fee | Net |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | +$120 | -$30 | -$99 | -$9/yr |
| $2,000 | +$240 | -$60 | -$99 | +$81/yr |
| $5,000 | +$600 | -$150 | -$99 | +$351/yr |
Silver crosses into positive territory at roughly $1,100/month with a 50% international mix, or about $825/month if you spend entirely in your base currency ($99 recovered at 1%). Above that it compounds, with XP and the lounge visit on top.
How This Tier Compares
| Feature | Xplace Silver | ether.fi Core | Solflare Card | KAST K Card |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Annual fee | $99 | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Net cashback | +1% domestic | +3% (or +2% after FX) | Raffle rewards | 1.5% USD ($2K/mo cap) |
| FX fee | 0.5% | 1% | 1% | 0.5-1.75% |
| Custody | Non-custodial | Non-custodial | Non-custodial | Custodial |
| Ecosystem | Solana | Ethereum | Solana | Solana |
| Monthly limit | $10K | $10K | Standard | Standard |
ether.fi Core's 3% still beats Silver on raw rate for free, and a low-volume spender may not clear Silver's $99 fee. Silver's case is the package: +1% domestic with the lowest FX of any free or near-free Solana card here (0.5%), a physical card, a lounge visit, 3% XP, and a $10,000 limit, all on a non-custodial credit line.
Rewards on This Tier
Silver pays 1% USDC cashback plus 3% XP, triple the Basic rate. It also earns 1% cashback on in-app hotel and flight bookings.
At $3,000/month domestic:
- USDC cashback (1%): +$360/yr
- Card transaction fees (0%): $0
- Annual fee: -$99
- Net cashback: +$261/yr, before FX on any foreign spend
- XP earned: 3% of spend toward the Q4 2026 token event
XP is the speculative layer. Xplace has announced a token generation event (TGE) for Q4 2026 with XP weighting your allocation, and published allocations earmark 5% to ecosystem partners (Seeker, Superteam, cherry.fun) and 2.5% to NFT communities and DAOs (Claynosaurz, MonkeDAO, Lucid Drakes, Solana Sensei, Dead King Society). The Terms still hedge that no token has been issued yet, so treat XP as upside that is not locked in until the event lands. Silver upgrades also carry a 10,000 XP early-bird bonus.

Is the Xplace Silver Card Safe?
Your collateral is non-custodial: it sits in Kamino Finance smart contracts on Solana rather than with Xplace, so a company failure does not hand your deposit to a receiver. The exposure that matters is the protocol, a Kamino exploit or a collateral-value drop that triggers an automatic liquidation Xplace cannot reverse.
Your $99 annual fee: Non-refundable if Xplace fails mid-year. This is your maximum guaranteed cash exposure, and far below the Gold and Platinum fees.
Your XP: At risk until the TGE. If Xplace folds before Q4 2026, accumulated XP could be worthless.
Risk framing: The $99 cash exposure is modest, but it is not the whole picture: you also carry Kamino liquidation and exploit risk, the variable borrow APR on any drawn credit, and cashback the Terms can exclude or claw back. Weigh those alongside the $99 while you test the ecosystem with a physical card and the lowest FX short of Platinum.
Real User Scenarios
Scenario 1: Lucas (Lisbon Solana developer, $2,500/month spending)
Setup:
- Silver ($99/year), upgraded from Basic after a few months
- 80% EUR, 20% other international (all non-USD)
- Wants a physical card for retail
Results after 12 months:
- Total spending: $30,000
- Cashback (1%): +$300
- Card transaction fees (0%): $0
- FX fees (0.5% on all non-USD): -$150
- Annual fee: -$99
- XP earned (3%): 90,000 over the year
- Net guaranteed: +$51
His verdict: "The fee cut and lower FX flipped Silver for me. Even with all my spend in euros, I am net-positive after the $99, I have a physical card, a lounge visit, and I am stacking XP. A year ago this tier lost me money in Europe; now it pays."
Scenario 2: Emma (Stockholm product manager, $1,200/month spending)
Setup:
- Silver ($99/year), wants physical-card convenience
- 100% SEK (non-USD), Apple Pay primary
- Light spender
Results after 12 months:
- Total spending: $14,400
- Cashback (1%): +$144
- FX fees (0.5% on all SEK): -$72
- Annual fee: -$99
- Net guaranteed: -$27
Her verdict: "I am basically break-even in cash terms, a little under because all my spend is kronor and I am a light spender. For pure economics a free card edges it, but the physical card, the lounge pass, and the XP make the $27 easy to accept. If I spent more, Silver would be clearly ahead."
Scenario 3: Ryan (Austin DeFi analyst, $4,000/month spending)
Setup:
- Silver ($99/year), 95% USD, 5% international
- Heavy Solana user weighing a Gold upgrade
Results after 12 months:
- Total spending: $48,000
- Cashback (1%): +$480
- FX fees (0.5% on 5%): -$12
- Annual fee: -$99
- XP earned (3%): 144,000 over the year
- Net guaranteed: +$369
His verdict: "Silver is now solidly positive for me, +$369 before perks, because almost all my spend is domestic and there is no transaction fee anymore. The only question is Gold: for $150 more it gives 1.5% cashback, 0.25% FX, four lounge visits, and 6% XP. At my volume the higher cashback alone roughly covers the fee gap, so I am likely to move up."
Who Should Choose This Tier
Use the Xplace Silver Card if:
- You spend enough (roughly $1,000/month or more) to clear the $99 fee and want +1% net domestic
- You want a physical, non-custodial Solana card with the lowest FX short of Platinum (0.5%)
- You are farming XP at the 3% rate ahead of the Q4 2026 TGE
- You want a lounge visit and a $10,000 monthly limit
Skip the Xplace Silver Card if:
- You spend very little: a free card (ether.fi Core, Solflare) avoids the $99 fee
- You want the highest raw cashback: ether.fi Core's 3% beats Silver's 1%
- You spend more than $10,000/month: the cap pushes you toward Gold or Platinum
- You are uncomfortable with DeFi liquidation risk on your collateral
Our view: removing the transaction fee, halving the annual fee to $99, and cutting FX to 0.5% turned Silver from a break-even-at-best tier into a net-positive one for anyone spending more than about $1,000/month. It will not out-earn ether.fi on raw rate, but the combination of +1% domestic, 0.5% FX, a physical card, a lounge visit, and 3% XP on a non-custodial credit line is a coherent step up from free Basic. Heavy or travel-focused spenders should compare it against Gold, where 1.5% cashback and 0.25% FX often justify the extra $150.
